Ahsoka fans praise best shot in Star Wars history in latest episode

Be warned, Star Wars: Ahsoka spoilers await for episode five!

Ahsoka, the latest Star Wars series to arrive on Disney Plus has reached its fifth episode and is proving to be a massive hit with fans.

In recent years, the Star Wars franchise has had quite a few ups and downs, especially since 2017’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Disney Plus looks to write some of the wrongs of the recent movies and for the most part, the series’ on the streaming platform have been a success.

Check out the Ahsoka trailer below!

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian were a critical success and animated series’ such as The Bad Batch offer interesting lore that wasn't initially explored in the movies. That being said, I think it's fair to say that The Book of Boba Fett did not reach the expectations of fans. What’s more, season three of The Mandalorian and the Obi-Wan Kenobi series could have been better too.

So when Lucasfilm and Disney announced that it was working on a live-action Ahsoka series, fans hoped that it would return the franchise to its former glory and as of now, that goal seems to have been achieved. We first met Jedi Ahsoka in the animated movie Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and later in the Star Wars Rebels series, both of which offer some vital backstory to the characters featured in Ahsoka. The Ahsoka series takes place after the events of Return of the Jedi.

Now, before we proceed, I will be going into big spoilers for not only episode four of Ahsoka but also the most recent episode five. So please, consider this to be your final spoiler warning. Right, here we go.

At the very end of episode four, Ahsoka finds herself to be in a very challenging situation after falling in battle. Yet, she is soon greeted by her Jedi Master, Anakin Skywalker. Of course, this interaction was made extra spicy considering what happened to Anakin in Revenge of the Sith prior to becoming Darth Vader.

At first, it may have seemed that Ahsoka could be a victim of some kind of mind trick and the Anakin that she is seeing isn't real. Well, as fans of the franchise will know, Jedi live on after their physical bodies fall and this was most certainly Anakin but in spirit form, if you will.

This led to an epic lightsaber battle between the duo and even had some very interesting live-action flashbacks to a younger Ahsoka and Anakin during the Clone Wars. Anakin was providing Ahsoka with her final stage of Jedi training, but before she could pass, she would be briefly tempted by the Dark Side.

Fans on social media have been talking about these epic scenes and some have even called a particular shot the “best” in Star Wars history. “This is probably the best shot I have ever seen in Star Wars,” exclaimed Twitter user VadersWife. Though this account isn't run by Padmé, right?

You've got to admit. It's pretty cool. In related news, fans have also been calling Ahsoka the best Star Wars instalment since the OG trilogy. Ahsoka is available to stream now on Disney Plus.
