The Sims 1 and 2 rereleases teased ahead of potential reveal

This is BIG

It’s a monumental week for the casual gamers out there, as the first two Sims games are seemingly being re-released courtesy of a new remaster.

That’s right. For all the people that didn’t like The Sims 4 and wish the series retained its classic charm and gameplay, you’ll now have the option to experience it all over again.

The Sims 4 wasn’t too bad though, it just leaned a bit far into expansions and cut out some of the good stuff as a result.

Now before you get too excited, there’s no announcement on when you’ll get to play, but the important thing is it exists and it’s looking promising so far.

If you need proof of that you’ll be glad to know there are promotional images already available online, showing what appears to be a screen from the first Sims game but remastered in the style of The Sims 2.

The image is due to feature in an official The Sims blogpost that’ll likely break down some of the improvements and bonus features of the remaster, and hopefully a release date is thrown in there too for good measure.

Presumably, any DLC expansion will be included along with the full games, but it wouldn’t be too surprising if there are more available this time around.

That’s not the only good Sims news either, as I’m sure any fan will know that The Sims 5 is currently in development, but there is a catch as it’ll apparently be a supplementary title rather than carry on the series in a more meaningful way.

In the meantime, The Sims 4 is still a worthy simulation game to play, and it’s still being updated with expansion packs so there’s almost always something new to experiment with.

As for the remasters of the first two games, all we can do is stay-tuned for more information. It’s all really exciting though.
