It’s a monumental day for cosy, and psychotic, gamers as the first two Sims games are officially back through a new remaster.

This has been a hot topic of speculation for the last few days but they’re officially real and they’re available right now PC.

EA shared the announcement trailer earlier today, featuring live-action reimagining of the weird and wonderful stuff you can do and see in the game, like meet the Grim Reaper if you're one of the freaks who lets their Sim die in a swimming pool...

Both games haven't been available to play for a while now, with The Sims 4 being your best bet at raising silly minions or destroying families, so it's great to see them return.

That's not the case now though as they're back in all of their glory, and you'll even be able to experience the DLC packs that kept people occupied with the games for years.

The only catch is to get the games you’ll need from the EA app, which can be accessed through Windows, The Epic Games Store or Steam depending on your preference. Seems like Apple devices won't be supported which is a shame, and a disappointment.

It's worth mentioning that there's nothing new about this re-release unfortunately, as nothing has been remastered like fans previously thought and there are no real quality-of-life improvements to speak of.

I'm sure fans will have been expecting more from this, but for those who haven't enjoyed the latest Sims games there'll surely be some value in these re-releases.

Either way it's a small price to pay for two diabolically good simulation games, even if they could have been a little bit more. Best get those swimming pools ready everyone...
