Skyrim has an incredible inventory weight trick you probably never knew about

Skyrim has an incredible inventory weight trick you probably never knew about

This handy Skyrim trick should alleviate issues surrounding inventory weight management.

It’s hard to believe that after all these years, there are still handy tips and tricks that we can pick up for our future Skyrim playthroughs, but it’s true.

There is no game I can think of more befitting of the title ‘the gift that keeps on giving’. A large part of that is down to Skyrim’s fantastic modding community who’re constantly breathing new life into this old gem.

Of course though, heaps of credit goes to Bethesda for crafting what is a timeless gem in the first place.

If there’s one thing that somewhat bothers me though in Bethesda games, it’s encumbrance. While it may make an RPG feel more realistic, it’s also pretty irritating if you’re constantly finding your inventory - and that of your companion’s - maxed out.

Thankfully, one player has highlighted a handy little trick that I’m imagining is going to prove to be a gamechanger for many of us.

Take a look at some of our favorite Skyrim wins and fails.

Admittedly, this trick has been around for a while and by a while I mean basically since Skyrim was released. That being said, it’s clear that there are plenty of players who don’t know about it.

GameFAQs user infinitexx was one of the first to highlight the trick, writing, “Followers can be told to take the contents of a container even if it puts them over the max.”

See? Handy. Chances are we’ll be diving into Skyrim a couple more times before The Elder Scrolls VI arrives given that it’s still several years away.

Bethesda is still hard at work supporting Starfield. Community requested features including the addition of city maps should land this year, as should the upcoming Shattered Space expansion.

That being said, The Elder Scrolls VI’s development is well underway with a playable build believed to have been completed already.

It goes without saying that this build will be lightyears away from resembling the final product but it shows just how far things have come since the game was officially announced back in 2018.
