Red Dead Redemption remains one of the most beloved video games of all time, so it's no surprise that fans are still clamouring for a remake or remaster more than a decade after the tragic Western first launched.

While there have been rumblings that Rockstar Games is planning to release at remake of Red Dead Redemption at some point, we've still yet to see anything official. Thankfully, a stunning new collaborative project between a handful of dedicated fans has given us a tantalising glimpse of what Red Dead Redemption would look like running in Unreal Engine 5.

ENFANT TERRIBLE's take on Red Dead Redemption in Unreal Engine 5 is everything you'd expect it to be, which is to say it's completely and utterly stunning.

The dusty canyons and lush green forests of Rockstar's captivating open world have never looked so alive, even managing to give the already gorgeous Red Dead Redemption 2 a run for its money.

Take a look at it in all its glory below!

While this might not be the real thing, it's looking more and more likely that a full-on Red Dead Remption remake is coming.

Almost immediately after Red Dead Redemption 2 launched, speculation began that Rockstar was planning a remake of John Marston's adventure using the latest game's engine, and that it would include update dialogue to include references to Arthur Morgan and the events of Red Dead Redemption 2.

To make things even more interesting, a mysteriously deleted post on Reddit last year made the claim that a Red Dead Redemption remake would be released before GTA VI. Other industry insiders and analysts have agreed this is likely, but aren't willing to commit with 100% certainty to whether or not it will actually come to pass.

For now, we can simply drool over this stunning fan edit again and again (and again).
