A secret scene in Red Dead Redemption 2 has blown fans away, proving that it continues to be the game that keeps on giving.

Rockstar Games has poured a lot of love and care into Red Dead Redemption 2, with there being a staggering amount of detail left in the game.

Everything from NPC interactions to how your horse behaves under certain circumstances has been thought of, and it’s likely we’ll probably be finding new details for years to come.

One such example of this is a rare piece of dialogue that can occur during the mission “The New South”, in which Arthur, Dutch, and Hosea go fishing.

As one user pointed on the Red Dead Redemption 2 Reddit page, falling off your horse on the way to this mission will prompt Dutch to say, “Are you planning on falling in the lake too?”

It’s a rare piece of dialogue that not every player will expect to hear, since a typical player probably won’t fall off their horse during this part of the mission.

It’s also not a case of reused dialogue, since the line seems so specific to this part of the game. It’s just a secret line that will go unheard in most playthroughs.

The rest of the thread on Reddit is also a goldmine of Red Dead Redemption 2 details.

“NPC interactions while I'm just wandering around,” writes another user. “In Saint Denis I'm riding down a street then suddenly a policeman chasing a mugger runs across my path. He hogties the mugger and carries him off to the station.”

“I found a random tree with bottles hanging on it, I started shooting at them and 2 NPCs who were passing by riding on their horses stood there watching me shooting the bottles,” another user added. “When I finished they continued on their way, the details of this game are simply amazing.”

It’s pretty cool to see how many secrets players are still finding in Red Dead Redemption 2 all these years later. It bodes well for GTA 6, which is out next year, and will probably have a similar level of detail.
