Red Dead Redemption 2 gamers are in for a treat as the upcoming game is basically Rockstar’s open-world Western but mixed with Cyberpunk 2077. Think Westworld in video game format.
Both games are spectacular in their own right so this feels like a match made in heaven,
Red Dead Redemption 2 changed the game for open-worlds and it’s making the wait for Grand Theft Auto VI all the more unbearable. A bigger map than what we’ve had before but more populated and more things to do? Sign us up.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a bit more of a cautionary tale, with CD Projekt Red stumbling when it first launched but gradually winning favour back with the fans as time went on, and updates were trickled out.

Both games together would be an unstoppable force, so we have high expectations for ExeKiller.
Developed by Paradark Studio you can catch gameplay of it online now, and when I first saw it the very first thought that popped into my head was it’s the Blade Runner 2049 video game I’ve always wanted.
Players become bounty hunter Denzel Fenix, who’s on the hunt for fugitives in a gorgeously grim cyberpunk world.

Like something out of Fallout the lands you’ll explore are perilous, with radiation choking the atmosphere and extreme temperatures making the surface almost uninhabitable.
You can venture forth into this hostile environment in any way you see fit, as the missions are non-linear meaning you can track down whichever target takes your fancy.
Bounty hunting in Red Dead Redemption 2 is something I thoroughly enjoyed and I’ve always been on the hunt for games that make that the main premise.
In order to bring these individuals in dead or alive you’ll need guns though, and ExeKiller has an extensive roster of weapons that can be mixed and matched as you see fit.

Whether it be environmental damage modifiers or gear that’ll let you play a pacifist run there’s a lot of depth, and it should make each encounter feel unique as you decide what the best course of action is.
ExeKiller looks incredible, and I’m sure it’ll speak to Cyberpunk 2077 fans in particular, but you can’t deny that the Western elements won’t appeal to Red Dead Redemption fans too.
At the time of writing the game is only coming to Steam when it eventually launches, but the developers have confirmed plans for console ports too, so everybody will get to play eventually.
