Red Dead Redemption 2 secret encounter found after hundreds of hours

Red Dead Redemption 2 secret encounter found after hundreds of hours

It seems that no matter how many Red Dead Redemption 2 playthroughs you get through, there will always be more secrets to uncover and share online. This was the case for one Reddit user who recently came across a random event on his journey across 1890s America.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was released five years ago but that doesn’t mean all its content has been exhausted. Just recently players have discovered secret rooms, gruesome scenes and even hidden cheat codes in the much-loved Red Dead Redemption sequel and those are just the ones we know about. With players as obsessed with the game as they were when it was first released in 2018, it seems Rockstar has quite the eagle-eyed fanbase.

That is the case for one Reddit user who posted a new discovery on the r/reddeadredemption page. “5th time playing this game and I’ve never seen this”, they wrote alongside a clip of Arthur galloping his way along. It isn’t long before the gunslinger is approached by a fellow member of his gang who informs him of Bill’s kidnapping and needs him help with rescuing him.

Now I must be honest, something similar happened during my playthrough when I had become so obsessed with clearing the map that I didn’t return ‘home’ for a few in-game days. One of the gang members approached me and asked for help with something if I ever wanted to return to camp but I had no idea that this was a rare occurrence in Red Dead Redemption 2. I would guess this is a way to get you back on track with the story instead of getting distracted by every species of flora in the vicinity like me.

Either way, it is another cool discovery for Red Dead fans and proof that you can never really know every detail in an open world game. Let’s hope the same can be said for Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 6 if/when it ever releases.
