PlayStation Plus has changed its May 2023 games, yet again. Seriously, make up your mind, Sony!

This month's PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for May 2023 are considered to be amongst the best the subscription service has offered since the product was revised in 2022. What’s more, PS Plus for May 2023 can save you a whopping £600.

Unfortunately, even when any given line-up of PS Plus games is announced, it’s sometimes a possibility that the offerings may change, and that’s exactly what has happened this month.

As reported by Push Square, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town was initially removed from the May 2023 line-up. However, it has now been brought back to the service, but Soundfall has been scaled back, only being offered in the Asia region, for some reason.

According to an update on the PlayStation Blog, it reads: “Soundfall will be available as part of the Game Catalog only in Japan and Asia regions where PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe is offered.”

Thankfully, despite this month's line-up being changed, it does still include some absolute bangers. Some of the best games include Dishonored 2 and its expansion, Death of the Outsider, the newly released puzzler, Humanity, Tomb Raider (2013), Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, The Evil Within 2 and more.

One of the other games included in the May 2023 line-up is being hailed by some as the best PlayStation 5 exclusive, none other than Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

In our review of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, we scored it a perfect 10, saying: “This is the sort of game that everyone can play and enjoy, and although it's a shooter through and through, it's not violently graphic and the storyline is lighthearted and easy to get along with.

“The world, characters, and gameplay are all gorgeous. It's maybe the most impressive game I have ever played. I look forward to the future of Ratchet and Clank and Rivet, and Insomniac's plans for the trio.”
