PC gamers are in for a treat

With The Game Awards fast approaching and publishers not wanting to compete with its deadline, it is safe to say that the past few weeks have been quite dry when it comes to game releases.

However, with 2025 expected to bring us some absolute bangers, it is worth putting up with the little drought.

Throne and Liberty is one of the games up for grabs for free courtesy of Steam!

Not only that but Steam is not going to leave us hanging and the PC storefront has recently added nine games to download for free.

No catch.

Well, except the catch of having to own a PC.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at what you can play over the Christmas period.

  • The Dangerous Back-to-School Season is a pixel RPG where players use dialogue choices and mini-games to guide the protagonist through cybersecurity threats.
  • THRONE AND LIBERTY is an MMORPG with an ever-changing environment, large-scale PvPvE and the ability to transform into creatures to take to the land, sea and air.
  • BREAKER: INITIATING is a post-apocalyptic puzzle-platformer where you play as a robot escaping from a dreadful facility.
  • Sime Is Back 3D Old School is a retro-inspired action-platformer set on the Adriatic coast where players take on the role of an old fisherman with a heart of gold.
  • Drag Racing 3D: Streets 2, a racing simulator with realistic physics and wide customisation options.
  • Invention 7 is a first-person shooter with heaps of puzzles, a scrolling shooter mode and even the ability to fly a space plane.
  • Maximum Football, a free-to-play football simulation game where you can build and design your own team, recruit your roster and take part in realistic gameplay as you lead your team to victory.
  • League of Masters: Auto Chess, “A new take on the auto chess genre” where players take part in PvP battles with a deep progression system.
  • EDYN is “the ultimate multiplayer strategy game” where players can build settlements, command armies and unify the realms in an epic PvP setting. With no microtransactions, you must raid and loot in order to come out on top.

All titles are available now.
