A Red Dead Redemption 2 player has discovered a game feature they didn’t know existed, after nearly 1,500 hours.

There’s no denying Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece. It’s the gift that keeps on giving, whether it be replaying the story for the 100th time, experiencing the perfection of its open world, or modding the game to pack even more content than it had already.

It’s no wonder thousands still play the game today, and while many are lucky enough to experience the game’s wonders for the very first time, even long-time fans still find the occasional surprise or hidden detail they didn’t spot on their initial playthroughs.

These can range from Easter eggs, in-game events, rare sightings in the open-world, or just small details that show how dedicated Rockstar Games were on their quest to create a hyper-realistic gaming experience.

One fan, who’s dumped nearly 1,500 hours into the game, recently stumbled across an entire gameplay feature that they didn’t know existed, blowing their minds and further showcasing just how much there is to do in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Reddit user AimInDenial shared a post saying: “After 1,443hrs I am just now realizing I can go noodling for Crayfish? Yes. Wow.”

While many fans will already know this is a feature in the game, a surprising number of fans seemingly had no idea, once again praising Rockstar’s masterpiece for once again, surprising them with something new.

“That’s what happens when you play for 1443 hours and never go into the swamp using Eagle Eye.”

“Ha what the fuck, this game never ceases to amaze.”

“I did not know this!”

If fans are still finding new things to see and do in Red Dead Redemption 2, I bet they simply can’t wait for Red Dead Redemption 3, which is basically confirmed by this point.

Unfortunately, a third game is still a long way off, as Rockstar is currently building up to the reveal and release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
