One of PlayStation Plus’ most successful games is about to receive a huge expansion that adds a co-op mode, new combat, cinematics and more.

First released in 2023 and slipping somewhat under the radar at first is Sea of Stars, a RPG by Sabotage Studio.

Check out the announcement trailer for Sea of Stars below!

Released for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, the title was finally added to the PlayStation Plus service earlier this year.

However, despite Sea of Stars being removed from the free library just last month, it is now available on the PlayStation Store with a PS Plus exclusive discount.

So although it is no longer free, you can still grab it for just £17.39 which is a steal for this epic RPG experience.

“It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer,” the official synopsis reads.

If you have already had the fortune of playing Sea of Stars then you are in luck as this November sees a free update added to the game.

Ahead of its DLC titled ‘Throes of the Watchmaker’ which releases next year, Sabotage Studio is bringing out this free update in advance.

Arriving on 12 November, this update adds some of the game’s most requested features including local co-op which will allow you to play with up to two friends.

Not only that but there will be a new combat system which emphasises combo points and introduces a new way to break through enemy barriers.

Last but not least, Sea of Star’s prologue has had a makeover and will now have its own action sequences, cinematics and even a difficulty changer.

The Dawn of Equinox update arrives in just a few weeks so make sure to grab Sea of Stars on your selected platform beforehand!

It remains free on Xbox Game Pass.
