The latest PlayStation Plus line-up has arrived, and it may just be the best of the year so far.

It's the middle of the month, so you know what that means; it's time to find out what's joining the extra and premium tiers.

This month, there are 11 games landing on the service in total, including a major first-party exclusive and a day one release.

Can I get an excited 'Ooo'?

PlayStation Plus' extra tier will gain the following titles: Mortal Kombat 1 (PS5), Marvel's Spider Man Remastered (PS4/5), Sword of the Sea (PS5), Earth Defense Force 6 (PS4/5), Unicorn Overlord (PS4/5), Atelier Ryza 3 Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key (PS4/5), Indika (PS5), Harold Halibut (PS5), and Coral Island (PS5).

The premium tier offerings this month consist of Resident Evil 2 (PS4/5) and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (PS4/5).

Obviously, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is the first-party game I referenced - a must-play for all of those yet to experience this Insomniac Games hit.

I should stress that the remastered version is only available to those with a PS5, with PS4 users receiving the original release which, admittedly, some people prefer due to having Peter Parker's OG character model.

As for the day one release, that's Sword of the Sea, a new game from the studio that brought you The Pathless and the creative mind behind the classic that is Journey.

In this one, you'll skate across a vast desert on yet another epic quest which is sure to have some poignancy, I'm sure.

I've had my eye on Coral Island and Harold Halibut for a while now, two delightful indies I'm sure many will be discovering for the first time.

All of these games will be available from 19 August.

Additionally, the premium tier is gaining a premium game trial for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach and it lasts for a whopping five hours; that's more than enough to see if Hideo Kojima's latest creation is for you.

If you do purchase the full release, all progress and trophies will carry over.

What a month, huh?
