If you are on the hunt for a horror game which rivals the fear once caused in P.T but with the setting of Bethesda’s Starfield, then you will want to check out this upcoming release.

Developed by Lunar Software and set to launch some time at the end of 2025, Routine is an upcoming psychological horror game which will rival that of Kojima’s P.T.

With a sci-fi setting much like the one found in Starfield, players will explore this first-person horror game set aboard an abandoned lunar base designed around an 80s version of the future.

However, it will not be long before horrifying discoveries mean that you will need to fight for your survival as you stumble across an enemy who sees you as its biggest threat.

Nevertheless, the only way to go is forward and the more you stumble through this abandoned base, the more horrors you uncover.

It has been five years since Lunar Software first announced Routine and now it has finally broken its radio silence by announcing a release window for the highly-anticipated sci-fi horror.

Thanks to a brand-new teaser trailer, fans got their first glimpse at the eerie lunar base which contrasts abandoned settings with outright claustrophobic and horrifying locations.

Not only that but Lunar Software really wants to nail the creepy atmosphere by including full body awareness, atmospheric audio and a minimal UI so that players will have to rely on all of their senses in order to make it through.

By exploring the base, you will uncover important information about the events which took place on the station before your arrival and luckily, you will have your Cosmonaut Assistance Tool [C.A.T.] to assist you.

The tool will help you access terminals, navigate the environment and identity clues that would have otherwise gone unnoticed.

However, your biggest threat are the enemies who will do whatever it takes to stop you so you must run, hide and even attempt to defend yourself if you wish to make it out alive.

As mentioned, Routine is set to be released later this year but no exact date has been announced.
