An ARC Raiders player discovers a mysterious UFO following the recent ‘Shrouded Sky’ update, and begs the question: Is the truth out there?
Released in October 2025, ARC Raiders, developed by Embark Studios, the same team that gave us the free-to-play first-person shooter, The Finals, was one of the surprise hits of that year and even won ‘Best Multiplayer’ at The Game Awards in December.
“In ARC Raiders, gameplay flows between the surface ruled by lethal machines and the vibrant underground society of Speranza. Earlier this week, the highly anticipated next major event for ARC Raiders launched with ‘Shrouded Sky’.

This update has brought new missions, unlockable goodies, a new dynamic weather system, and more. Oh, and some unexpected visitors straight out of the X-Files.
When an ARC Raiders player was minding their own business, likely raiding unfortunate players on the server, they noticed something strange in the sky: it was a UFO!
As soon as I saw this, I got instant Predator ship vibes.
“What in tarnation is that?” asked Redditor Bewarden, upon seeing the huge UFO, befitting of the name, ‘Shrouded Sky’.

What Do the UFOs in Arc Raiders Mean?
The Shrouded Sky update has brought hurricanes to the map as a low-visibility weather condition, which is why these mysterious lights look so ominous. This is likely a tease of the April ARC threat - if you look closely, you can see it belong to one massive aircraft; not simply 2 flyers in the hurricane.
I assume that Embark Studios will reveal all in regard to the purpose of the mysterious UFO in the sky, within the coming days or weeks. So, keep an eye on those clouds, because the truth is out there.
