Information on this upcoming Steam game is mysteriously absent online, but that doesn’t stop it from managing to creep me out. In fact, it actually might make the whole thing even creepier.
Have you ever imagined what a Resident Evil game would feel like in the world of Starfield? Well, in that case, go and play the Dead Space games, because they slap.
Alright, let’s get a little more specific. Have you ever imagined what the first-person horror of Resident Evil 7 would feel like in one of Starfield’s cold, desolate space bases?
Neither have I, because I enjoy sleeping at night, but we have a pretty good example of what that might look like… if you’ve got the stones to take a risk on a relatively unknown project.

LUNA: Obscura is an upcoming first-person horror sci-fi from developer and publisher Sosoros on Steam, and that genuinely might be the most I can tell you about it.
I’m not trying to be obtuse on purpose here, because there’s borderline no info about this one anywhere that I can find. There are some social accounts from one of the developers working on the game with some pictures and teasers, but beyond that? All the info I can find is on the Steam page.
Luckily for you (and me, because my job would be a lot harder otherwise), there is a demo for LUNA: Obscura on Steam. Unfortunately (for both you and me), there isn’t a single user review for it anywhere, so you’ll have to go in completely blind if you want to see what it has in store for you.
Literally the only gameplay footage I could find from the demo is from a small YouTube account called Techno’Glitch, which uploaded a rather short, four-minute clip of what LUNA: Obscura has to offer.

But y’know what? What I saw in the clip looks cool and, more importantly, the lack of info out there about this game kind of makes the whole thing creepier to me.
Who knows what’s beyond death at the end of Techno’Glitch’s video? I don’t, but I do intend to find out. Worst comes to worst, I waste a few minutes of my life. But, best case scenario, I get to be the first to play an exciting new indie horror.
Besides, there’s a long wait left for Resident Evil Requiem, so we’ll have to find something else spooky to fill the hours in the meantime.
