
There is something immensely satisfying about setting out on a journey to 100% complete a game.
In single-player titles, this usually involves completing the story and collecting all the achievements, while multiplayer titles can be a little more difficult to 100% because they are often more dependent on the help of others.
Equally, some are simple forays that take a few hours, while others will steal half of your life before you've done everything it has to offer (having recently hit 100% on Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, that's a solid example of the latter).
DayZ started life as a relatively simple mod for Arma 2, before the developer was brought on by the developer to work on its release as a standalone game.

Since then, it has become an absolute giant of the genre, selling three million copies in early access, before passing 5.8 million copies in 2019.
It's also an absolute behemoth for those who want to collect and accumulate, with many of the achievements on offer dependent on a significant time sink.
Completionist website HowLongToBeat shared their breakdown of exactly how long it takes to do everything, and it's a pretty monumental effort.
Obviously the game doesn't have a story per se, so to see everything on the map, collect all of the achievements, and get a hold of all the gear will likely take at least 100 hours solo.

As a co-op team, you can knock a significant chunk of that time off, but you're still looking at 50 to 75 hours, so if you have a PlayStation Plus extra and premium tier membership and plenty of time on your hands, it may be one to consider.
The immense popularity of DayZ has seen it continually updated since release, with those efforts continuing in earnest to this day.
With the game getting bigger all the time, that time to 100% is only going to keep increasing, so it might be better to get in there now if you want to tick it off your list.
