PlayStation Plus 6 More Free Games Announced For March

This is a good line-up

The latest PlayStation Plus line-up has almost arrived. Tomorrow, March's extra and premium tier free game line-up will be confirmed by Sony.

Ahead of then though, a major chunk of this month's extra tier offerings have leaked online courtesy of the ever-reliable bilbill-kun.

Typically, I'd urge you to take such a leak with a pinch of salt but bilbill-kun is always bang on the money when it comes to PlayStation Plus so I have no reason to doubt they're wrong this time.

In a report posted to Dealabs, bilbill-kun confirmed that the following six games are set to arrive on PlayStation Plus' extra tier next week:

  • Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (PS5)
  • Persona 5 Royal (PS5 | PS4)
  • Madden NFL 26 (PS5)
  • Metal Eden (PS5)
  • The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria (PS5)
  • Astroneer (PS4)

Two Previously Leaked Titles Have Been Confirmed as False Too

Hopefully you agree that that's a decent line-up with a little bit of something for everyone. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was one of the most successful shooters of 2024 and even if you don't have a particular affinity for Warhammer, it's still well worth checking out - especially with a friend.

Persona 5 Royal perhaps needs no introduction. I've been meaning to play Atlus' Game Award winning RPG for the longest time. I now have my excuse to.

Madden NFL 26 will likely please the sports fans among you, offering up a virtual iteration of what is American football to me, but perhaps just football to you.

Metal Eden is a first-person shooter that launched last year. I don't know a ton about it but it secured a score of 73 on MetaCritic which isn't too bad at all. Some critics even awarded a score of nine, comparing the game to DOOM or Metroid Prime.

Next up, we have The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, a survival game that landed in 2023. I'd say this is easily the best Lord of the Rings game to land in recent years, although when your competition is Gollum and Tales of the Shire, that perhaps doesn't hold a ton of weight.

Finally, Astroneer is a 2019 sandbox adventure game that's perfect for fans of Minecraft or No Man's Sky.

Alongside confirming these six titles, bilbill-kun revealed that previous online rumours claiming that Dragon's Dogma II and Final Fantasy XVI were joining the line-up appear to be false.

When the full line-up does surface tomorrow, we'll be sure to bring that news to you straight away.
