An upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 mod introduces zombies to the Wild West, in a fan-made unofficial sequel to the first gameās Undead Nightmare expansion.
The original Undead Nightmare expansion for Red Dead Redemption is often called one of the best game expansions of all time, taking a world players were familiar with and putting the characters into a completely new, horrific scenario.
Red Dead Redemption 2 never received a similar treatment, though Rockstar did do something similar for Red Dead Online last year.
Several fan mods have also cropped up over time with the same intention of adding zombies to Red Dead Redemption 2, and this new one from Red Dead modder Rixus ties directly into the original expansion pack.

Called Undead Damnation, the upcoming mod will be a prequel to Undead Nightmare, presumably set during the same time as Red Dead Redemption 2.
Announced in a trailer uploaded to Rixusā YouTube channel, we get a glimpse of several locations from Red Dead Redemption 2 during a dark and stormy night. This is followed by clips of several zombies roaming the countryside, as well as many running through the streets of Saint Denis.
The zombies are shown roaming in packs, and various settlements from around the Red Dead Redemption 2 map are shown to be abandoned, with no sign of life except for the shambling undead.

The mod doesnāt have a release date yet, but Rixus has already said itāll be coming to Nexus Mods as a free download for all PC players of Red Dead Redemption 2 to grab.
The original Undead Nightmare was released in October 2010, and was Rockstar's own version of a Halloween event years before it started doing them in Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online.
The expansion was set during the final act of the main story, and depicted John Marston venturing out to put a stop to a seemingly unending zombie apocalypse that had broken out across the American West.
