Bloodborne, is a game considered to be one of FromSoftware’s finest video games but yet it remains so elusive. However, if you’re dying for a chance to revisit Yarham once more, then you need to check out The Bleak Dominion.

When Bloodborne was released in 2015 for PlayStation 4 (yes, it’s nearly been a whole decade), this gothic horror instantly became one of the best games by FromSoftware alongside the likes of Dark Souls as well as the more recent, Elden Ring. Don't get me wrong, there's something special about most titles by FromSoftware but Bloodborne has something extra special.

Check out the Bloodborne trailer below!

Nearly ten years later, the love for Bloodborne is as strong as ever resulting in fans desperate to see a modern remaster on PlayStation 5 and PC with each new Sony State of Play event. Sadly, despite seemingly endless rumours that we will one day get our Bloodborne remaster, that day never really seems closer to coming to fruition.

Thankfully, outside of the original PlayStation 4 title, there is still plenty of gory Bloodborne goodness to be had, whether it be board games, music or the subject of today’s story, glorious graphic novels. If you’re unfamiliar with the Bloodborne graphic novels, you should check them out if you are a fan of the FromSoftware classic.

The first Bloodborne graphic novel was released in 2018 with the wonderfully named The Death of Sleep, and now the sixth issue, The Bleak Dominion arrives next month.

“In the plagued city of Yharnam, hunters Gretchen and Abraham search for their missing protégé. Under the blood moon, a scourge of beasts stalk the streets, and a new threat lurks around every corner,” reads the synopsis of The Bleak Dominion.

“The duo must venture deep into the depths of the chalice dungeons in order to find Lucien, but malignant and ancient horrors await them. Will they find him? And what terrifying surprise awaits them if they do?”

In collaboration with FromSoftware, the author of Bloodborne: The Bleak Dominion is horror writer Cullen Bunn with its artwork created by Piotr Kowalski. Bloodborne: The Bleak Dominion will be available from graphical novel stockists on 16 July 2024.
