Bloodborne fans rejoice, as loads of new content for the game is slowly becoming more available.
As much as Sony tries to deny it, we all love Bloodborne and would kill to have a sequel in development. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like that’ll ever happen.
But hey, we can still dream, and thanks to fans there’s now a plethora of custom content available to download if you have the tools for it.
By heading on over to the Bloodborne game page on Nexus Mods, you’ll find a bunch of additional content and mods that expands the game’s various locations, bosses, and weapons.

We need to point out that you can’t just download these mods and expect them to work on your PlayStation 4 console.
You’ll need to be running with either an emulator or a modded PS4 to get these mods working correctly. Installation instructions are provided with each mod.
Bloodborne Enhanced has a few features to improve the gameplay flow, with options to respec your character, activate all lamps, and unlock all shortcuts. It also adds a functional door to the Great Bridge, meaning you can access Cathedral Ward without defeating Father Gascoigne.
If it’s better performance and visuals you desire, check out the 60FPS Patch and 4K Upscaled UI, as well as Bloodborne Visual Tweaks for a smoother experience.

Meanwhile, Bloodborne also has its own randomiser mod, which can be found by going to Bloodborne Randomizer.
This does exactly as it says on the tin, by randomising the placement of enemies, bosses, and items to give you a uniquely new experience each time.
It’s a shame that Bloodborne hasn’t yet received a proper sequel or remaster, because the popularity of these mods proves that the fans want it. I’d just like to be able to play it on Steam.
Hopefully once the hype for FromSoftware’s upcoming The Duskbloods dials up in 2026, Sony might be able to get a next-gen port sorted.
