Bloodborne has heaps of brand new content in 2025, the year of its 10th anniversary.
There’s a good chance that if you were to ask a fan of FromSoftware what their top-three games from the developer are, Bloodborne would be amongst many.
That’s coming from a studio that’s given us Dark Souls, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring. Hopefully, FromSoftware’s next game, The Duskbloods, which looks inspired by Bloodborne, will at least be on par with its predecessors.
Bloodborne was released in 2015 on PlayStation 4, and it be honest, it baffles me that it’s been that long. Yet, despite no new-gen upgrade on PlayStation 5 and being locked at 30fps, Bloodborne has aged like a fine wine.
Advert
Bloodborne did get a sequel of sorts with its fantastic expansion, The Old Hunters, later that year, but that’s as close as we ever got to new adventures in Yarnham.
Thankfully, however, talented modders always have us covered, and if you want to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Bloodborne in the best way, then you have loads of new content to enjoy.
It should be stated that Bloodborne hasnt officially released on PC. It’s playable via emulation, which some may consider to be a moral grey area. With that out of the way, here are some Bloodborne mods that you can check out right now:
- The New Nightmare (created by Librius): The mod increases enemy density and adds a lot more hostile NPC hunters to many areas, both friendly and foe. Increases buff length, and early and late game weapons can be obtained in Centre Yharnam. Adds new items to buff the Hunters to deal with a horde of enemies.”
- Bloodborne Rebalanced (created by Jasler7): “A basic couple of file changes for Shadps4 emulator and Bloodborne. Changes the balance and makes the game easier.”
- New Game Plus Save File (created by MhmdError): “Version 1.09 save file after 100% game completion, ready for a new game with two +10 weapons and level 96 stats.”
- Bloodbone - Sir Daniel Fortesque (created by tlarok): “Adds a new armour set to the game that transforms the player character into Sir Daniel Fortesque from MediEvil!”
- Permanent Lantern (created by LucySnoozy): “Small mod I made, because it annoyed me that I had to constantly reapply the lantern when I died or started the game again. This mod simply makes the lantern permanently active.”
Sadly, these mods are exclusive to the emulated version of Bloodborne on PC.
