Modders have created a seamless co-op mode for the Bloodborne spiritual successor, Lies of P.
Without a doubt, FromSoftware is one of the best and most inspirational video game developers in the industry. The Japanese studio is famous for bringing us the likes of Dark Souls, Elden Ring and Bloodborne, to name a few.
Over the years, other studios have been heavily inspired by the gothic delights of FromSoftware, birthing the sub-genre known as 'soulslike'. The soulslike sub-genre is synonymous with superb games such as Nioh, Remnant 2, The Lords of the Fallen, and many more.
Whether these soulsborne-inspired games quite capture the quality of what’s offered by FromSoftware is debatable, but if there was one game of that ilk, it would be 2023’s Pinocchio-inspired Lies of P, developed by Neowiz and Round8 Studio.

“You are a puppet created by Geppetto who’s caught in a web of lies with unimaginable monsters and untrustworthy figures standing between you and the events that have befallen the world of Lies of P,” reads the synopsis of the game.
“You are awakened by a mysterious voice that guides you through the plagued city of Krat - a once lively place that has been poisoned by madness and bloodlust.
“In our soulslike, you must adapt yourself and your weapons to face untold horrors, untangle the unfathomable secrets of the city's elites and choose whether to confront predicaments with the truth or weave lies to overcome them on the journey to find yourself.”

No matter the platform, Lies of P is an absolute delight, yet a tormenting game, something that FromSoftware fans will be accustomed to. However, when being played on PC, you can take advantage of the ever-vibrant modding community.
Seamless Co-Op Comes To Lies Of P
One such mod, as brought to our attention by the Twitter account fromsoftserve, is the co-op mod called ‘Lies of P Co-Op’, a name very much on the nose. Best of all, the mod created by Ember Wave is free to download right now via Nexusmods.

The mod is the result of over a year of hard work, reverse engineering Lies of P to make this co-op experience as seamless as possible.
What’s more, this mod is playable online with friends. So now you can fight and die together. Happy days!
Sadly, as is the case with most mods, this is exclusive to the PC version of the game, which will come as no surprise.
As for the rest of us, we can still enjoy Lies of P, originally intended for PlayStation and Xbox. Furthermore, earlier this year, Lies of P received a fantastic expansion called Overture.
