Starfield's NexusMods page has officially gone live

Starfield's NexusMods page has officially gone live

Starfield mods are incoming

Starfield isn’t out yet, but its NexusMods page has gone live.

In terms of the Starfield countdown, there’s under a month to go until its 6 September launch. However, that hasn’t stopped NexusMods from preparing the way for the endless modders who will look to add more depth to the game.

Take a look at Starfield's latest trailer below.

Given the obvious fact that the game isn’t out yet, it shouldn’t shock anyone to learn there’s no mods currently available. However, while the mods page is momentarily blank, seeing it there gets us excited to see just how creative the fandom will get. Plus, let's face it, that page won't be blank for long after launch!

Just look at how positively mods have impacted titles like GTA 5 – mods have become so synonymous with the game that Take Two Interactive has acquired Cfx.re. Of course, not every publisher is as willing to work with mods as Take Two, but the acquisition goes to show just how much mods are changing the video gaming landscape.

Even without mods though, Starfield is an enormous game, promising three religions and nine factions to join. On top of that, a fan-favourite returning feature means that players won’t have to stress about being locked in with their customisation choices. All in all, this game is on track to deliver on all fronts and then some.

With or without its future mods, it’s going to be interesting to see whether Starfield can claw its way to the top on Metacritic after Baldur’s Gate 3 beat Zelda for top spot with a 97 Metascore. BG 3 has really been taking gamers by storm with its depth, imagination, and romance options, so it’ll be interesting to see who will walk away the victor once Starfield enters the ring.

Microsoft has had more misses than hits recently, with Redfall failing to reach the heights the publishers had hoped for. And while Hi-Fi Rush managed to restore some brownie points, it’s fair to say the brand could take a big win right about now.

With the clock ticking away, and leaks about launch events popping up on Twitter, this Xbox exclusive is amassing a scary amount of hype… hype, we hope, is well placed and deserved.

Starfield will release on Xbox and PC on 6 September.
