There is no denying that stormtroopers are some of the most recognisable figures in sci-fi history, so it is no surprise that one creator has found a way to add them to a large-scale RPG.
Created by George Lucas and first introduced in the original Star Wars trilogy, stormtroopers have become synonymous with the Star Wars franchise and even those not familiar with the world will at least recognise the fictional soldiers.
Now thanks to one creator, stormtroopers have made their way to Bethesda’s Starfield in a Fallout-esque free downloadable overhaul.
First released back in 2023, Starfield is Bethesda’s latest RPG that has not quite met the success of some of the studio's earlier titles.

Despite being set across a massive scale with thousands of planets to explore, Starfield has been criticised for feeling empty but maybe this free download will give players enough incentive to try it again.
Created by kboykboy, Galactic Civil War Conversion is a free-to-download mod for Starfield which replaces UC Police with stormtroopers.
This mod is a work-in-progress so players can expect a lot more to be added in the future but for now, this will be the perfect way to make the sci-fi world of Starfield feel a lot more like the expansive Star Wars universe.
In the future, kboykboy plans to replace all UC armour with Imperial versions, replace all Freestar armour with Rebel versions, and replace multiple weapons with their Star Wars counterparts so this will truly feel like a Star Wars game in time.
Since its upload, the Galactic Civil War Conversion mod has garnered over 26,000 downloads so it is definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of Star Wars or just want an excuse to try out Starfield.
