It's a super secret, apparently

Fallout 4 has a secret room that many of us never knew existed, which opens up a world of in-game possibilities.

Fallout 4 was originally launched in 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, last year, we were treated to its free new-gen update that gave the popular Bethesda RPG a much-needed graphics and performance boost.

Despite being nearly a decade old, there is still plenty of fun to be had in Fallout 4 and a big reason for that, other than being a fantastic game, is that discoveries are still being made in the fourth numbered entry in the series.

As brought to our attention by The Gamer, one such secret is known as the “developer room” and once you’re placed in this secret room, you’ll have access to tons of items including weapons, armour, holotapes and more.

Many of these in-game items aren't supposed to be accessible until later in the game or may be hidden away in very obscure locations on the map, which may never be found otherwise.

To access the developer room, press the tilde (~) key on PC, and when the console command screen appears, type “COC QASMOKE”. If performed successfully, you will be transported to the secret room in question.

Once you’ve decided what items you want to take into the wasteland, press the tilde key once more and enter the command “COC SANCTUARYEXT” to leave, transporting you to the Sanctuary.

Just remember not to be too greedy, because you won't last long when ghouls and raiders are chasing after you when you’re over-encumbered.

Sadly, due to the lack of console commands on PlayStation and Xbox, the developer room is a PC exclusive, well, at least officially. Thanks to the Creation Club, there are fan-made developer room mods available on consoles.

Fallout 4 is available with an active Xbox Game Pass subscription at no extra cost.
