If you want more Stardew Valley then you’re in the right place because you can download this sweet fan-made expansion right now.

Developed by ConcernedApe, when Stardew Valley was originally released in 2016 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox before arriving on other platforms, I doubt few could have predicted the sensation it would become and that it would remain popular nearly a decade later.

Check out the Stardew Valley trailer below!

“You've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life,” reads the synopsis of the game. “Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home?”

It’s fair to say that when it comes to flying the indie darling flag, few represent that category of video game better than Stardew Valley, which is why fans are excited for the arrival of its follow-up, the Haunted Chocolatier.

However, despite being announced in October 2021, we still have no release date for the Haunted Chocolatier but with a bit of luck, we hope that it arrives at some point this year.

Thankfully, until we’re treated with the highly anticipated arrival of the Haunted Chocolatier, there’s still plenty of fun to be had in Stardew Valley to keep us busy whether it’s the base game, free content updates or community-made expansions, such as the topic of today’s story.

Created by modder Nature, ‘Roses in the Sand’ is a romanceable expansion that’s available to download for free right now via Nexusmods.

“This mod remakes Sandy as a fully romanceable character with hundreds of lines of new dialogue, seven new events and tons of schedule changes,” reads the description of the mod.

Sadly, as with the nature of most mods, ‘Roses in the Sand’ is a PC exclusive but at least we can still enjoy Stardew Valley as intended on multiple platforms.

Stardew Valley is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
