This adorable new Stardew Valley add-on is giving players expanded access to a mechanic I honestly forgot was in the game.
Sometimes, I forget just how much stuff is in Stardew Valley.
I’ve probably played through this game around seven times now, both with friends and on my own, and yet I am only now just remembering that you can hatch a bloody dinosaur.
The first time I found a dinosaur egg, I kind of assumed that it was just an artefact you could donate to the museum… that is of course, until I read online that you can stick it in an incubator.

However, as cool as the feature is, you can only hatch one variant of dino. You can get a bunch of them, yes, but only the one type.
Well, one user over on Nexus Mods has decided to change that, as they’ve added six new types of dinosaurs to the game.
Em's Dinosaurs, by mod author Rivalrabbit, adds six new dino buddies to hatch, including parasaurs, triceratops, spinos, tyrannos, brontos, and ankylos.
Naturally, every single comment on the mod page is from people freaking out about how cute the new dinosaur models are.

“Oh my GOD?!” commented Nexus Mods user orphyd.
“I could sob these little ones are so cute you have quickly become one of my favorite creators keep up the amazing work.”
“Finally, cute dinosaur sprites I've been looking for to retexture with have arrived on nexus”, replied Nexus Mods user ShilohAreles.
“thank you!”

“The brontosaurus???” commented Nexus Mods user syvlellas.
“I am OBSESSED! These are so cute, thank you!!!”
Ugh, fine, I guess I’ll start a new playthrough… again.
I wonder how much roleplay opportunity this new mod provides? I’m already itching to turn Pelican Town into a modern-day Jurassic Park (and I will immediately be forcing them to eat Pierre).
