This exciting Steam project just got a cute little update, and you can even try it out for free right now.
Have you ever seen a game for the first time, only to realise that it’s something you’ve unconsciously wanted without realising?
That’s how I felt the first time I saw the updated version of Call of Elyndra, an upcoming farming sim and RPG on Steam from developer and publisher Quorum Games.
This is pretty much as close to Stardew Valley in the art style of something like Final Fantasy Tactics as you could conceivably ever get, and by god, does it look gorgeous.

Almost looks a little too good to be true… which is why it’s handy that there’s a demo for the project that proves otherwise.
It’s also getting some pretty great reviews on Steam too. Here are a couple of examples from people who aren’t exclusively thirsting over the hot male characters in the game (not throwing any shade there, because I get it).
“I had to stop playing the demo only because I cannot wait to play the heck out of this game upon release!” writes Steam reviewer ClarinetOwl.
“There are a few mechanical hitches to repair, sure, but they do not diminish the experience. Charming music, beautiful graphics, and potentially interesting characters to learn about as they gets flushed out. Looking forward to selling my soul to Elyndra when the time comes!”

“Absolutely awesome demo, completed fully loved every minute”, commented Steam user Liljoyforever.
“Can't wait for this one's release - such nostalgia!”
And hey, if you’ve already played the demo before and loved it, now might be a great time to try it again.
Why, you ask? Well, that’s because the devs just added a fun new update to the demo: fishing!

I mean, really, would it truly be a farming sim without a fishing mini-game?
