An ARC Raiders player uses an exploit in the most hilarious way, which could also earn them a ban if not careful.
By now, many may have thought that the hype for the indie extraction shooter from Embark Studios, ARC Raiders, would have died down since its launch in October 2025. Thankfully, that is not the case, as players are still enjoying the game in the masses, and that’s great to see.
The simple premise of ARC Raiders is to enter a map (preferably with a squad to watch your back), kill NPC enemies, maybe a human-controlled player or two, grab some precious loot and extract the map with as much loot as possible. In most cases, that’s easier said than done.
There Are Many Ways to Enjoy ARC Raiders!
Of course, playing ARC Raiders the intended way is an absolute joy, but creative players are finding unique ways to enjoy the game, such as Redditor user Yeetuus-Deeleetuus, who went for an explosive ride with one of the new NPC enemies, called Fireflies.
“DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RIDE THE FIREFLIES,” warned the Reddit user in question. “That thing put my ass in jail as its last act of vengeance.”

The clip shared in the thread shows the player waiting on a rooftop building, jumps on top of a Firefly and then proceeds to blast the enemy at close range with a Ferro rifle, before it quickly explodes. The player is then thrown out of bounds, likely having to respawn back into the game. Check it out here, it has me in stitches.
I’m not sure how strict the rules might apply to jumping on a Firefly in ARC Raiders, but if it's used as a method to transport across the map, Embark Studios may see that as an exploit, which could result in a ban. Sorry to be a sourpuss. At the very least, being thrown out of bounds would be an inconvenience.
“Damn. Dude got sent to the shadow realm,” replied Damien23123.
“I saw another clip where a dude was facing off against three or four Fireflies. He hopped on top of one of them and said, ‘Now what? Y'all ain't gonna shoot your little buddy, are you?’,” said EADSTA.
“They, in fact, did exactly that.”
“Something similar happened with the Fireball when I caught on fire,” recalled trackdaybruh.
“Catching on fire and then dropping seems to mess up the physics in this game for some reason.”
Despite the glitches, at least ARC Raiders players are having a blast, am I right? Better than Highguard players, if they exist.
ARC Raiders is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
