Stardew Valley gets a grisly Eldritch crossover that we never knew we needed, that was, until now.

The indie sensation that is Stardew Valley probably represents the term “indie darling” better than most. Ever since its inception in 2016, it has continued to win the hearts of millions of gamers across the world with its charming NPCs, enjoyable quests and delightful visuals.

Over the years, the developer of Stardew Valley, ConcernedApe, has supported the game with a plethora of free content updates, including a recent update that introduced new marriage candidates.

It’s probably fair to say that there have been so many meaningful content updates for Stardew Valley that the game you played in 2016 is quite different to the one in 2026. Furthermore, it’s not just ConcernedApe that has helped shape the game over the years, because the ever-vibrant modding community has also played a huge role.

Stardew Valley Meets Eldritch in Grisly New Mod

Eldritch is a 2013 roguelike, crafting survival RPG that can be compared to the likes of Minecraft, but with a heavy H.P. Lovecraft horror influence. Having a crossover with Minecraft feels obvious, but it may not have crossed many minds that it could also be implemented into the world of Stardew Valley, too.

The mod in question is called ‘Eldritch Furniture’, created by CozyPsychologist, and it's free to download now via Nexusmods.

As the name of the mod blatantly suggests, it will give your furniture in Stardew Valley a fancy, gothic makeover. In total, more than 70 pieces of in-game future will get the Eldritch treatment.

“Decorate your home with fully animated items, including cauldrons that bubble with unknown substances, crystals that pulse with Eldritch energy, rugs that open into the earth itself, and candles that burn in colours no flame should,” reads the description of the mod.

“Hang paintings of places you've never been but somehow remember. Let the Cursed Wardrobe breathe. Whether you're building a dark sanctum, a forbidden library, or simply tired of the same old country cottage aesthetic — the void has exactly what you're looking for.”

Can I Use This Mod on Consoles?

Sadly, no. As is the case with most mods, ‘Eldritch Furniture’ is a PC exclusive. For the rest of us, we can enjoy Stardew Valley as intended on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
