It doesn't get any better than this.

There’s no question that Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the best-looking games out there, but when you see it running at 4K and at 60fps, it gets taken to a whole new level.

It’s hard to believe that Red Dead Redemption 2 still hasn’t got a new-gen upgrade on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, especially given its never-ending popularity. Last year, it was claimed by an insider that although plans for new-gen ports of the game do exist, they may have been delayed indefinitely as Rockstar Games focuses on developing GTA VI. While I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say that the sooner we see GTA VI, the better, it’s a shame that RDR2’s new-gen upgrades have apparently had to take a backseat as a result.

Take a look at some of the funniest wins and fails from Red Dead Redemption 2 below.

Even without a new-gen upgrade though, Red Dead Redemption 2 is still undeniably gorgeous, and there are ways to make it look even better than before without an actual new-gen port. Just take a look at this 4K 60fps gameplay video from YouTube creator WildGamerSK. Captured on a PC using a very pricey NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card, and enhanced with ultra graphics settings, this is the best that RDR2 has ever looked - it’s genuinely stunning. Take a look below.

Anyway, even if Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn’t get a new-gen upgrade anytime soon, it’s thought that its predecessor might be getting a remake on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S by the end of the year. A new rating for ‘Red Dead Redemption’ was spotted on South Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) website, and one leaker recently alleged that the remake will be announced in August ahead of its release in November.

Rockstar Games is yet to confirm if the remake rumours are true, so we’ll just have to sit tight and see if anything is said in August.
