PlayStation Plus subscribers are urged to play these games at no extra cost while they can, because some big hitters look set to leave soon.

The PlayStation Plus subscription service offers decent value for money, regardless of the three tiers that you subscribe to, namely PS Plus Essential, Extra and Premium.

When it comes to Sony’s top two tiers, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, you have a ton more games to choose from. That being said, at least with PS Plus Essential, while the selection is smaller, games hardly leave the service and will remain accessible with an active subscription.

As for the top tier, PlayStation Plus Premium, not only do you get even more PS5 and PS4 games to play, but also loads of classic games, trials, cloud streaming, a selection of free movies and more.

However, as I mentioned earlier, games do leave PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, on a rotational basis, to make way for some new freebies.

With that in mind, as brought to our attention by Comicbook.com, some major games look set to leave the service in September 2025.

Going by the criteria of when games were added to PlayStation Plus, Reddit user Negan-Cliffhanger believes these games will leave Extra and Premium on Tuesday, 16 September 2025:

  • Ben 10
  • Call of the Sea
  • Chernobylite
  • Contra: Rogue Corps
  • Doom I + Doom II Enhanced
  • Dragon's Crown
  • Far Cry 5
  • Mister Mosquito
  • Night in the Woods
  • Odin Sphere
  • Paw Patrol: Adventure City Calls
  • Pistol Whip
  • Road 96
  • Secret Agent Clank
  • SkyGunner
  • Space Engineers
  • Tails Noir
  • The Plucky Squire
  • This War of Mine
  • Under the Waves
  • West of Dead
  • Wild Card Football

The games mentioned above all vary in length, with The Plucky Squire easily being completed in an afternoon, unlike the huge open-world game, Far Cry 5. So, if there’s a game that you’ve not started, you might want to pick your battles wisely.

It’s worth mentioning, the suspected PlayStation Plus exiles are not set in stone, so take the speculation with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.
