PlayStation Plus subscribers can now pick up four additional free games to play on the service.

In recent months, PlayStation has started drip-feeding the games being added to PlayStation Plus Extra over several weeks after the initial announcement, giving users a fresh batch of new games to play every single week.

This week, it’s added four new games to the service, which can be played by any PlayStation user with an active PS Plus Extra or Premium subscription.

Let’s have a nosey at the four new games that have arrived on PlayStation Plus this week.

What else came to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium this month?

PlayStation announced the new games coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on July 15, with them coming in waves over the following weeks.

Wave 1 included only one game, Rise of the Ronin, which came on July 16.

Following that, Wave 2 launched a week later on July 21, bringing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, and Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit to the service.

The next batch of games coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium is expected in the middle of August, while the next group of games confirmed to be coming to PlayStation Plus Essential will be announced this week.

Altogether, it's a nice mix of games coming to the service, but it hasn't done much to distract users from Sony's announcement that it will discontinue physical game discs from January 2028, with thousands of comments on PlayStation's social media still calling attention to this.
