Fallout: Vault 13 is being called a “dream come true” for Fallout fans, and you can play it for free right now.

The fan-made project is a mod for Fallout 4 that essentially remakes the original Fallout game.

It’s a similar passion project to Fallout: London, which you can see below

It adds a huge amount of content to the game and allows players to embark on a brand-new adventure, a good thing too because they’ll be waiting a long time before Fallout 5 comes out.

You’ll be exploring a new open-world called “The Inyo,” and not just on foot either, you’ll be able to drive a car around like you’re straight out of Mad Max, oh and players are already launching it into orbit.

You can download the conversion mod for yourself from NexusMods, and so far fans are absolutely loving it even while it’s still relatively undeveloped.

One player called it “literally my dream come true” and we’re inclined to agree, as it’s been an excellent year for Fallout fan-projects so far especially with Fallout: London launching earlier this year.

“People do be making every other Fallout game in Fallout 4 tho. (I’m not mad that’s f******awesome tbh)” added another.

Other users joked how the project is “just as stable as a normal Bethesda game” and how it’s “peak” compared to some of the official titles.

As for your next official Fallout adventure, you’ll have to wait until Bethesda finishes its work on Starfield and its upcoming expansion Shattered Space.

After that there’ll be the release of The Elder Scrolls VI to look forward to, and only then will Fallout 5 be on the cards, though there are rumours of Xbox handing the project over to a third-party developer to get it out the door faster.

For now though check out Fallout: Vault 13, as driving through the desert in a Fallout game is way more fun than you’d think.
