Given that it’s been nine long years since Fallout 4 launched, you can understand why we’re desperately awaiting the release of Fallout 5.
That need and desire has only been exacerbated by Prime Video’s Fallout TV series, a stellar adaptation of Bethesda’s wasteland-centric IP.
The problem is that while Fallout 5 is indeed happening, it’s still many, many years away from launch.
Bethesda is still in the midst of providing Starfield with post-launch support with the game’s first expansion, Shattered Space, set to land later this year.

The Elder Scrolls VI is then next in line.
A playable version is believed to exist internally, but the game still won’t likely launch for a couple of years.
That could see Fallout 5 potentially landing in or around 2030 given the length of Bethesda’s development cycles.
It’s a good job that the excellent fan-made Fallout: London has landed in the meantime to keep those of us on PC busy.
Already hailed by players as the best Fallout in years, the conversion mod takes the franchise away from the USA to the UK for the very first time.
“From stuffy parliamentary aristocrats to a resurrection of the Knights of the Round Table to an uncompromising cult of revolutionaries”, these are just a few of the things you’ll encounter in the mod.
Take a look at Fallout: London in action below.
Following on from the mod’s long-awaited launch, a free update has now landed for players.
Team FOLON have revealed that the update includes some changes to NPCs and gameplay, in addition to various quest, audio and item fixes and tweaks.
