Growing up, most of our spare time was spent reading Harry Potter books; it was such a magical world. So, when Hogwarts Legacy launched, we were excited, with that excitement having continued to grow since then, especially after seeing the Hogwarts Legacy ‘Live The Unwritten’ trailer.

Before anyone gets their hopes up that I’m referring to DLC, as far as we know, no DLC is planned – fans have been teased about a possible DLC, but it’s left fans divided over whether extra content would be preferable to a sequel.

See what wonders await with the Hogwarts Legacy 'Live The Unwritten' trailer!

Although the latest Nintendo Switch HL trailer isn’t revealing anything new, players can’t help but be impressed by how incredible the game looks. When a Switch port was first announced, people feared it wouldn’t work; the Switch, while a beloved console, hasn’t got the software might of the PlayStation or Xbox. However, those fears were unfounded.

“I’ve put 40 hours into the game so far and it’s a blast to play. Runs decently well on the Switch,” said one fan. Another confirmed as much, stating that while a graphics “downgrade” had been seen, HL runs better than Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, with this specific gamer claiming, “People would be f**king thrilled if a Pokémon game came even close to this.”

The thing is, it doesn’t really matter if the graphics aren’t quite as polished as the PS5 or Xbox Series because the game has recaptured our childhoods in such a spectacular way. Granted, the game isn’t perfect, but HL has allowed many to reclaim a franchise that they’d put to rest after a certain author broke their spirits with words unfitting for a creator of magical possibilities.

If you want to experience the wonder and magic of Hogwarts for yourself, you can get both the Standard Edition and Dark Arts Pack at 30% off until 26 December.
