It’s not just the stealth, mercifully smaller map size, and story though, even the clothes on your back will harken back to the good old days, with the inclusion of legacy outfits.

Legacy outfits aren’t exactly new to the series, but for a game that’s seemingly priding itself on being like the older games, their inclusion was absolutely essential.

One outfit, in particular, will give players the opportunity to cosplay as everyone’s favourite assassin, Ezio Auditore, specifically his appearance in Assassin’s Creed Revelations, which some fans consider to be the peak of the series.

The outfit was revealed on Twitter via Andy Reloads, who said: “EXCLUSIVE NEWS. Ezio Revelations Legacy Outfit WILL BE in #AssassinsCreedMirage I interviewed @sarah_beaulieu in Bordeaux, who kindly confirmed this to me! BIG thanks to @Ubisoft_UK @wibneypls @SilviviviaG for allowing me to share this awesome info with you!”

Obviously, the outfit is DLC, so whether it’s part of an outfit pack or a standalone download isn’t confirmed as of yet. That being said, it’s inclusion obviously hints at other legacy outfits being included in the game, probably belonging to other well-known assassins like Edward Kenway, Connor Kenway, or Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.

The next game in the series looks incredible, and it’s a precursor to several other Assassin’s Creed games currently in the works at Ubisoft, all of which will treat us to new characters, new locations and new moments in time.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will launch on 5 October for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
