Assassin’s Creed fans are going to be very busy over the next few years, as Ubisoft supposedly has 11 new games in development.

It wasn’t that long ago that we reported on the six Assassin’s Creed games Ubisoft currently have in the pipeline, following a drastic expansion to the studio’s development team. Now, insider information claims there are in fact 11 titles planned, across a wide range of platforms.

A reporter for Insider Gaming recently listed all upcoming games in the series, including the previously revealed Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, VR game Assassin’s Creed Nexus, and mobile game Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade.

Other titles included:

Assassin’s Creed Red (Platforms TBA, release expected 2024)

Assassin’s Creed Hexe (Platforms TBA, release due 2025/6)

Assassin’s Creed Invictus (Platforms TBA, release expected 2025/6)

Assassin’s Creed Nebula (Prototype stage only)

Assassin’s Creed Raid (Prototype stage only)

Assassin’s Creed Echoes (Prototype stage only)

Assassin’s Creed Nexus 2 (VR, in discussions)

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake (Greenlit)

Little is known about the untitled games, apart from Red being set in Feudal Japan, but that hasn’t stopped fans from theorising what the rest might be about. The Assassin’s Creed series has seen entries in a variety of different eras and real-world locations, so it’s been fun to speculate when and where future instalments might take place. So far, there’s reason to believe Hexe will take place during the Salem witch trials, and Invictus will be set during the height of the Roman empire.

With this year’s Assassin’s Creed: Mirage bringing the series back to its roots of stealth gameplay in a smaller open-world, it’s unclear if future titles will follow suit, or if some will return to the open-world RPG format that recent entries like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Valhalla have explored.

While the codenamed titles are of interest, the one I’m most excited for is the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake, and I’m sure many other fans will feel the same way, given it’s easily one of the most beloved titles in the franchise, complete with a banging soundtrack of sea shanties.
