Assassin’s Creed legend Ezio Auditore da Firenze returns in epic new DLC, and it’s available today.
When Ezio Auditore made his debut in the long-running series with Assassin’s Creed II in 2009, he not only became one of Ubisoft’s biggest mascots, but thanks to his unrivalled charisma, he also became one of the most popular characters in video game history.
Not taking into account spin-off and cameo appearances, Ezio Auditore would return in the next two games, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations, making him a character that’s starred more than any other in the series.
Sadly, 2011’s Assassin’s Creed Revelations would be the last game that Ezio Auditore would star as the main protagonist, but that doesn't mean that we’ve seen the last of him because his legendary Italian charm continues to live on.

The most recent entry in this Ubisoft series is Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which launched earlier this year, set in feudal Japan. Since its launch, the game has benefited from a series of content updates and community events, and the latest update is available at 15:00 BST today.
In our review of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, we said: “This is an epic, sweeping adventure bolstered by jaw-dropping visuals and a masterful blend of stealth, action, and exploration. You don’t want to miss this one.”
Update 1.1.1 not only makes the typical bug and stability fixes, but it also adds a new quest which sees you join forces with the popular NPC, Junjiro, as you meet a “legendary Bo Master” which will no doubt unlock some new combat skills.

What’s more, the update increases the XP level cap, introduces new hideout upgrades, lets players skip the time of day via meditation (finally), enhances gear and much more.
However, arguably the main feature of update 1.1.1 is the new Project quests found in the Animus HUB, which unlock a ton of Ezio Auditore goodness.
You’ll be able to claim the ‘Renaissance Robe and Hood’ from Assassin’s Creed II, a ‘Rooftop Cat’ wearing the ACII attire for your hideout, a new charm and an ‘Eagle Head’ for the Kusarigama weapon.
The update, which weighs in at 13GB to 42GB depending on the platform, is also preparing for the highly anticipated first expansion for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, namely Claws of Awaji, that launches on Tuesday, 16 September.
