Hogwarts Legacy will eventually be available to purchase on all platforms. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC owners can already get their hands on the game. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users are next in line, gaining access on 4 April with Nintendo Switch owners ending the roll out on 25 July. There’s no denying though, there’s one platform that’s far more appealing than the others.
If you want the full Hogwarts Legacy experience, PlayStation has the most to offer you. Last year, it was unveiled that PlayStation owners would gain access to the exclusive ‘The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop’ side quest, plus last week saw the release of a Hogwarts Legacy-inspired DualSense controller - which is already being scalped for ridiculous prices. ‘The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop’ will be released on other platforms in one year’s time. That’s not all though, as PlayStation users are currently experiencing yet another exclusive event.

There are actually several avatar sets you can unlock. There’s a house crest set, a magical creatures set, plus a bonus sorting hat avatar. To unlock these, you’ll have to complete a couple of easy tasks. The page will prompt you to watch a trailer, check out the PlayStation blog, or answer a couple of simple trivia questions. Once you have, the avatars are yours to download.
Before you begin, you’ll be instructed to input your house. The house with the most active participants will eventually win the House Cup. You have until 4 May 2023 to complete these tasks so you’re in no rush. May the best house win (Let’s go Gryffindor).
