Hogwarts Legacy DualSense controller is already being scalped for unholy prices

Hogwarts Legacy Limited Edition DualSense controller has already been scalped for unholy prices.

Hogwarts Legacy Limited Edition DualSense controller has already been scalped for unholy prices. To our absolute shock, said no one ever.

Last week, Sony PlayStation shadow dropped the news that the PS5 is getting a very snazzy-looking Hogwarts Legacy Limited Edition DualSense controller inspired by the recently released action RPG from Avalanche Software.

“Live the unwritten with this limited edition DualSense wireless controller, adorned with the world-famous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry,” reads the official deception of the officially licensed sort-after item.

The Limited Edition DualSense controller has a jet-black design with a gorgeous golden illustration of the Hogwarts Castle on the touchpad. It also features golden magical trails on the handles as well as the game's logo located at the rear.

When PlayStation announced the controller, it stated that stock will be limited and they weren't kidding. The controller was exclusive to PlayStation Direct and went on sale at 10am UK time. However, I saw various comments across social media saying that the controller was out of stock within minutes.

So, as you can guess, while many genuine fans would have gotten their pre-order in for this controller (we hope), it seems that scalpers have struck once more and are selling the Limited DualSense controller for inflated prices on eBay.

At the time of writing, scalpers are trying to sell the Hogwarts Legacy Limited DualSense controller for between £130 to £250. The controller has an RRP of £70, so you’re looking at double the scalper price if you’re lucky.

However, I have some concerns in regard to some of these listings. My Spidey-senses are telling me that some of those listings may not be legit.

It is very difficult at times to tell which listings may be genuine, and it’s always a good idea to look at the feedback rating, how many feedback reviews have been left and how long the eBay account has been active. It’s also an idea to examine the images used on the listing, especially as so many sellers are using the same stock.

So if you’re absolutely sure that you want to buy this snazzy Hogwarts Legacy Limited Edition DualSense controller for PlayStation 5 from a scalper, just be as vigilant as possible.
