Many Hogwarts Legacy players are hoping a sequel to the hit Wizarding World title will finally allow us to step inside the famed Chamber of Secrets.
What you might not know is that you can already somewhat locate it in that first game.
You won’t come face to face with a basilisk but Hogwarts Legacy players can find the sink marking the entryway to the Chamber of Secrets, complete with the mark made by Salazar Slytherin.
To find the sink, you’ll want to head to the girls bathroom located near to the Slytherin house common room. It’s not too far from the Lower Grand Staircase Floo Flame.
Inside, you should be able to see a circular series of sinks that look just like those in the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets film.

Cast Revelio and you’ll secure a Field Guide page explaining the location to you, drawing attention to one of the sinks’ taps.
Zoom in closer and you’ll see a very faint serpent symbol on the right hand side of one of the taps opposite the entrance to the bathroom - and it’s this sink that marks the entry to the Chamber of Secrets.

While it’s not enterable, it is a location fans suspect may surface in Hogwarts Legacy 2.
Warner Bros. has made it clear that it's keen to tie Hogwarts Legacy 2 in with the upcoming adaptation of Harry Potter on HBO.
Fans think that Hogwarts Legacy 2 could explore Tom Riddle’s original opening of the chamber in the 1940s, linking nicely into the second season of Harry Potter which will tell the Chamber of Secrets story.
That is, of course, just a theory.
As you can’t enter the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts Legacy, you can’t see the basilisk, as mentioned, but you can find evidence of basilisks elsewhere in the game’s map.
During the quest ‘In The Shadow of the Mountain’, you can use Depulso to find a hidden cave which features a perished basilisk breeder, turned to stone by his own hatchling.
Nearby are wooden cages and chickens and, if you don’t know, basilisks are created when chicken eggs are hatched beneath a toad.
You can’t find the escaped basilisk - and it would be small at that point in time - but it’s kind of cool imagining one running loose around the game’s world.
Warner Bros. has teased that its biggest gaming franchises will return in 2027 and 2028, prompting many to speculate that Hogwarts Legacy 2 could land next year after the conclusion of the first season of HBO’s Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
In fact, some believe that the highly anticipated sequel could be announced at next month’s Summer Game Fest and while it can’t be ruled out, there’s no evidence backing the theory up.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 is coming, that much is clear. It’s definitely a case of when and not if.
