Steam drops 10 free games that'll keep you entertained this summer

Did somebody say freebies?

It’s a bit hot outside, isn’t it? If you’re anything like me, you’ll have a fan or air conditioning unit pointed at you, with the curtains closed, devouring whichever game keeps you from touching grass.

If you don’t currently have something to play, then allow me some time to talk you about 10 games that are currently listed as freebies over on Steam.

As long as you’ve got a Steam account, you can add any of these, or all of them, to your library and play them while avoiding the sun.

First up is LAN Party, which acts as a hub for you and your friends to hang out in while playing other games, and chatting in a party. Seems like an interesting way to socialise.

Out of Sight is a very pretty hidden object game that has you searching for items within lovely little 3D dioramas as lo-fi music bumps in the background.

Now we shift to Nyxerion, a top-down arena battler where you can hold off foes solo or with your mates.

This one looks gorgeous - Replicomica - a short narrative adventure with lush cartoon visuals, and a quirky sense of a surreal future. I’m going to grab this one myself.

If precision platforming is your thing, you’ll want to check out Hop n’ Hook, where you play as a rabbit with a fishing rod that can be used to grapple to distant platforms.

Naja Medjai combines soulslike adventure with Egyptian history, and it’s considered “family-friendly” so maybe not too challenging.

Next up is CyclingArcadeRaceSimulator, which sounds like a Roblox game, but is actually an arcadey bike racer across various tracks.

You shouldn’t need me to explain Urban Disc Golf - it’s golf, but with plastic flying discs.

Fallen Arena is another top-down battler, kind of Moba-like, but can’t be played in the EU apparently, so beware.

Lastly, we’ve got Brawl Me Blues, a chaotic party game where you and friends try to eliminate each other by filling the screen with projectiles.
