Well, it happened late last night. We were finally treated to the first official trailer for GTA VI and it did not disappoint.

Following an unfortunate leak ahead of its big reveal, and we’re not just talking about the son of a developer at Rockstar Games that allegedly leaked gameplay, but the studio's hand was forced courtesy of further leaks and the GTA VI trailer was revealed nearly a whole day ahead of schedule.

Check out the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer below!

Even when Rockstar Games teased the date and time last week for the highly anticipated GTA VI trailer, it was already smashing social media records. However, now that the trailer is finally here, it’s smashing records yet again, and I guess this record-breaking streak will be a regular trend from here on out.

Within the YouTube stratosphere, MrBeast is king not only with over a whopping 216 million subscribers, but in June 2023 the popular YouTuber smashed a record number of views for a video upload within 24 hours with a massive five million views. We would say that no one saw MrBeast’s record being broken. Yet, it was reported in August that the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI might claim that record for its own. To no surprise whatsoever, GTA VI has now smashed that record, and then some.

As first shared via a Tweet from ScreenTime, the first official GTA VI trailer amassed a gigantic 58.2 million views within 12 hours of its YouTube reveal. Now 15 hours has passed at the time of writing, the GTA VI trailer currently sits at 69.59 million views, nice! We expect the trailer to burst through the 70 million barrier by the time it reaches 24 hours. Though that’s likely to be closer to 80 million at this rate.

Grand Theft Auto VI will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S sometime in 2025. A PC release date is yet to be announced.
