Grand Theft Auto VI fans are feeling pretty comfortable about Rockstar Games’ ability to publish the game on its release date, following a recently spotted job listing…
I think we all kind of knew that GTA VI wasn’t going to make its original “Fall 2025” release date.
That’s not some snide way of criticising Rockstar Games. We all collectively just assumed that a project as big as GTA VI could need a little longer in the oven, because it’s clear that it’s set to be the biggest project that the developer has ever produced.
However, a lot of people are applying this same logic to its current May 26, 2026 release date, as some folks think that it’s just a random date that Rockstar Games pulled out of thin air to appease the masses (and the shareholders).

Well, it seems that’s not the case. As stated in an article by Videogamer’s Callum Smith, a recent job posting on Rockstar Games’ official site, the developer is currently on the lookout for “Marketing Localisation QA Testers”.
Now that might not seem like a big deal at first, but it more than implies that GTA VI is in the final stretch of development.
Rockstar Games wouldn’t be hiring for marketing-specific positions if they didn’t have something to actually, y’know, advertise… like, for instance, trailers and advertisements for a big, much-anticipated game?
Over on a post by @GTAVI_Countdown on Twitter detailing the news, everyone in the comments is pretty thrilled that we are finally close to getting our hands on the game.

Man, it’s weird to have confirmation that we’re actually going to be able to play this game soon.
