There's copium, and then there's Grand Theft Auto fans.
The upcoming title will blow the gaming industry wide open when it releases in November, 2026, so much so that every other developer has actively avoided the release window dominated by GTA VI.
The anticipation is unparalleled, with every sliver of information regarding what GTA VI will hold being lapped up by fans.
With the third trailer set to offer the most insight yet, the Grand Theft Auto community has now launched in-real-life heists of their own around Rockstar Games HQ, investigating anything and everything in hopes of decoding when the advert will air.

Speaking of air, the latest wild probe into the Rockstar activity comes in the way of oxygen levels, as one fan has set up studies outside of the developer's offices and now believes they've cracked the code for when the third trailer will drop.
Rockstar HQ has become a hub for the unhinged gamer, with some fans harnessing their inner Lester Crest and setting up elaborate tech to record traffic patterns and peak activity times.
Yep, we're really at that level of desperation after 16 years.
Now, one person has set up an oxygen sensor and has identified unusual readings that can be interpreted to show how the devs are gearing up for trailer three.
Taking to Reddit, the investigative citizen claims it is 'coming soon'.

"The rig was built from leftover electronics and household materials," the Redditor said.
"It uses an ESP32 microcontroller with a low-cost oxygen sensor, plus a temperature and humidity sensor for environmental context. The sensor samples data every 30 seconds and sends it to a basic dashboard.
"What caught my attention is that oxygen levels dropped to around 20.3% and 20.04% after 5 PM last night. That suggests increased oxygen consumption in the area after a typical COB, which is insane to me.
"This supports what I have said numerous times: there is increased traffic after 5pm. This wouldn’t happen just for fun - there is actual corporate merit to people gathering past typical open times."
The third trailer was originally anticipated for May 12, but the Rockstar Games announcement ended up being a Red Dead Redemption 2 Online update on the Chinese site BilliBilli.
The Rockstar Games team is racing towards its November 19 goalline, so increased activity in the HQ isn't unexpected, and marketing is likely low down on their priority list, knowing that GTA 6 will sell at rates never seen before in the industry.
But we should all be on high alert for the next ad, as it could be shadow-dropped at any given moment.
