GTA 6 fans compare game's map to GTA 5, and not everyone is happy

GTA VI fans aren't all optimistic about the map which has been constructed using information allegedly found in the September 2022 leak.

Although we’ve still not received any official information about GTA VI from Rockstar, fans are somehow already disappointed about one big aspect of the game - the map.

How does one begin to be upset about a game that we have no information about? It’s all thanks to the huge leak that appeared online last year. Although leaks should normally be taken with a pinch of salt, Rockstar Games confirmed that the “early development footage” had been illegally accessed by a third party in a network intrusion. As a result, we almost definitely know the protagonists for the game, as well as the location.

It’s thought that the next GTA game will take place in Vice City - take a look at what it might look like below.

Since that fateful day, fans have been piecing together all the information they can, and some have also been working on creating a map using coordinates that were allegedly included in the leak. However, not everyone is happy with how the map is shaping up.

“10 years to develop a game and Vice City is still basically the same size as Los Santos? I really hope this isn’t true and we get a much larger urban area, I’m not sure I understand this sub’s obsession with having two square blocks of city followed by 100 square miles of empty nothingness,” Reddit user pk10534 wrote, responding to the comparison of the supposed new map and GTA V's. “Yikes, and you thought GTA V had a lot of empty space,” added dubbs911.

It’s very important to note that even if the map's coordinates did originate from the big leak, that doesn’t mean that the final thing will actually line up with what fans have pieced together. Things can change significantly during development, and so this could be completely inaccurate. The best thing to do is to reserve judgment until Rockstar actually reveals the map itself, although who knows when that’ll be.
