GTA 6 'Leak' Roasted By Fans, and We Can See Why

Sure, Jan.

A new GTA 6 leak has been roasted by fans, and it’s just proof that you shouldn’t believe everything you read on the internet.

We’re nine months away from being able to play Grand Theft Auto 6, and in that time there have been plenty of leaks, reports, and rumours suggesting all sorts of things about the game.

Some leaks have proved to be credible, while others have been rightfully roasted by fans. And that’s true of the latest ‘leak’ to hit the GTA community.

As posted on the GTA Reddit page, one user has shared a list of features GTA 6 will allegedly have. But considering the contents of the leak, plus the nature of the post itself, it’s highly likely that this is all a load of wallop.

For starters, the post claims that 67% of buildings will be enterable, and there are 179 main story mode missions. It also says that there are “extremely interactable malls” and that “cutscenes are mostly made up of minigames and multiple choice options”.

It also states that food and drink mechanics will be highly complex, introducing pizza toppings, bite by bite animations, and food prep mini games to the series.

Look, I know Rockstar Games creates massive open worlds brimming with detail and hidden features, but there’s no chance this is real. It just doesn’t seem feasible, even for a large franchise like GTA.

179 main story missions? Red Dead Redemption 2 only had 94 story missions, and that game is already longer than it needs to be. And two-thirds of buildings having interiors you can explore? Yeah, okay.

The GTA community is roasting this latest leak, and seem to have called it out for what it is.

“67% enterable buildings alone should tell you this is fake AF,” writes one fan underneath the post. “‘Extremely interactive malls’ says nothing. Extremely interactive meaning you can buy anything and everything in a mall? Or interactive as in you can shoot everybody and everything in a mall? So on, so forth.”

“Yeah I can confirm this, I spoke to my uncle who works at GTA, and he said all of this is true,” joked another user.

“It's all been confirmed by John Rockstar himself, I beat the game and can also confirm,” a third fan joked.

As with all leaks and rumours, it’s best to take this with a huge silo of salt. GTA 6 is set to be one of the biggest and most detailed games of all time, but there’s no chance Rockstar is adding things like “table etiquette” and “different water temperatures” to the game.
