Grand Theft Auto fans are getting tired of “leakers” getting everything wrong, often throwing out speculative guesses rather than actual concrete information.

Some leakers are certainly more credible than others, but it's really hard to differentiate those these days; does the one who claimed to have been an office cleaner at Rockstar Games and picked up bits and pieces about GTA VI while employed there deserve the benefit of the doubt?

GTA VI launches this year.

One leaker though by the name of Detective Seeds is being slated by the wider Grand Theft Auto community for a since-deleted prediction.

“Detective Seeds may have leaked the GTA VI time window,” began a Reddit post by Spyrospitfire, before continuing, “In a tweet today, he said, 'Remember remember the middle of November'. After that he deleted his tweet, thinking he was on to something.”

The comments were not kind, with many labelling him as just another clout-chaser especially after other claims they’d made.

“Bro I'm still waiting on the Oblivion drop if I'm going to give him an ounce of respect,” read one of the comments.

“Can we ban this guy as a source please?” read another comment, with another declaring, “This guy needs to go away.”

As usual, we can never take any leaks as fact until Rockstar Games itself confirms it, and at the time of writing, the studio is still keeping GTA VI under lock and key until the time is right.

Rockstar hasn’t even confirmed a date for the second trailer yet, something many people are finding odd since it’s been a long time since that first trailer dropped and with the game coming out this year, the company is running out of time.

To be fair, it is GTA VI though; second trailer or not, we’re still going to be buying the game anyway.
